After two years of litigation and negotiations, the District of Utah entered an Order Granting Final Approval of Settlement and Final Judgment in Desseaux v. Aviacode, Inc.
McInnes Law LLC, Reavey Law LLC, and Wagstaff & Cartmell, LLP filed the nationwide class and collective action in September 2017 alleging that Aviacode failed to pay wages and reimburse business expenses due to medical coders that it misclassified as independent contractors.
The settlement provides for payment of $1,525,000.00. You can read more about it at Law360.
